Communalism is the eternal weapon in the hands of domestic and foreign exploiters against the unity of the working people. We condemn this evil motive of isolating the exploited people and maintaining the sovereignty of plunder. Inspired by the play written by playwright Girish Karnad, we have adapted ‘Azadi.’ We call on all people irrespective of caste and creed to unite and build a bridge of unity against communalism and dictatorship in the guise of democracy. In the background of the present time, we have picked up a new crop of wailing from the faded field of history. We have come together to revive the melody of the dark times. Before everything goes to the oppressor’s hand, let the sky, the air and the rough ground roar, let every lip sing – Azadi, Azadi, Azadi.
